LateHarunarRashidKhanMonno, popularly known as HR Khan was the pioneer of the industrial revolution in Bangladesh after the Liberation War in 1971. He was a leading person among the post-war entrepreneurs of the country. He harbored thousands of stories at different phases of life to become a personality like him. He started his journey as an orphan losing his father in his early childhood and had to struggle for both of his survival and the education simultaneously. He proved that poverty is not an obstacle to an indomitable spirit. As a natural talent, he was able to secure his post-graduate degree in Chartered Accountancy with the glorious result in 1969, before the Indepence of Bangladesh. His patriotic vision and change-making approach honored and glorified Bangladesh across the globe through his industries and education facilities set up in his locality. As of his humanitarian spirit and to improvise the health services to the underprevileged, he established Monno Medical College which was started in 2011 after being approved by the ministry of Health & Family Wellfare. He breathed his last in this medical college hospital on 01 august 2017.
