Biography

Dr. Nazmun Nahar Nahida is an associate professor in the Department of Forensic Medicine & Toxicology at Monno Medical College and Hospital, located in Monno City, Manikganj, Dhaka. She joined the institution on March 23, 2021, and holds an MBBS degree along with a Diploma in Forensic Medicine (DFM). Born on November 10, 1991, Dr. Nahida has contributed to academic research in her field. Notably, she is a principal author of the following studies titled: Death due to Hanging: A Retrospective Medico-legal Study at a District Level in Bangladesh—published in the Journal of Monno Medical College December, 2022; 8 (2):31-35 (Principal author) Organophosphorus Compound as Suicidal poison in a few Rural Area of Bangladesh: A Medicolegal Study—published in the Journal of Monno Medical College June 2023; 9 (1):07-10 (Principal author) Forensic Profiling of RTA Victims: A Retrospective Study, published in the Journal of Monno Medical College, December 2023; 9 (2):53-57 (principal author); and co-author of a study, “Pattern of Suicidal Deaths in Cases Coming to a Tertiary Center in Bangladesh,” published in the Scholars Journal of Applied Medical Sciences in June 2023. This research examined the causes and factors associated with suicidal deaths, aiming to identify high-risk individuals and inform prevention strategies. Dr. Nahida is highly experienced in teaching methodology, having participated in numerous training programs and provided valuable support and facilitation to her junior fellow educators.
