August 17, 2025 – On the occasion of the 92nd Birth Anniversary of the late Harunar Rashid Khan Monno, Founder of Monno Group of Industries, pioneer of industrial revolution, education enthusiast, philanthropist, distinguished politician, and former minister, Monno Medical College and Hospital observed the day with a series of programs.
The day began in the morning with the placing of floral wreaths at his grave, followed by prayers and special supplications.
At the Monno Medical College gallery, a commemorative discussion meeting was held, along with cake cutting and a friendly football match. Special meals were arranged for patients admitted to the hospital. In the evening, after Asr prayers, a special doa mahfil was organized at the Hurnahar Monno Jame Mosque located on the institution premises.
The day-long programs were attended by Mrs. Afroza Khanam Rita, Honorable Chairman of Monno Group of Industries; Mr. Rashed Samiul Islam, Managing Director of Monno Fabrics Ltd.; Professor Dr. Md. Abdul Karim, Principal of Monno Medical College; Brigadier General (Retd.) Dr. Zulfiqar Ahmed Amin, Director of Monno Medical College & Hospital; as well as physicians, teachers, officials, staff, and students of the college and hospital.
