Rajshahi Medical College and the Forensic Expert Alliance of Bangladesh (FEAB) organized a prestigious Scientific Seminar and Journal Unveiling Ceremony where Prof. Dr. Borhan Uddin Ahmed, Professor & Head of the Department of Forensic Medicine & Toxicology and Vice-Principal of Monno Medical College, delivered a highly impactful scientific presentation. Professor Ahamed presented a keynote session titled “DNA Fingerprinting and Forensic Genomics: The Future of Criminal Identification in Bangladesh.” His presentation drew special attention for its depth, clarity, and future-focused analysis on how genomic technology can revolutionize criminal investigation, medico-legal practice, and national forensic capabilities.
The session was attended by distinguished national experts, policymakers, senior police officials, professors from leading medical colleges, and forensic researchers from across the country. The audience highly appreciated Professor Ahamed’s insights on the emerging role of genomic databases in modern crime detection. Ethical and legal challenges in forensic DNA use, strengthening national forensic infrastructure, and integrating genomic tools within Bangladesh’s criminal justice system.

His participation in this national academic platform brought significant pride and recognition for Monno Medical College, establishing its footprint in advanced forensic research and national scientific dialogue. The event also featured the unveiling of the International Journal of Forensic Expert Alliance (IJFEA), Volume-02, Issue-01, and was graced by eminent guests, including the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of Rajshahi Medical University, senior medical administrators, and high-ranking officials of law enforcement agencies.
